Seeing RED AZ reports: Another candidate intent on handing GOP held seats over to radical leftists
If you’ve never heard of Tom Lewellen, join the crowd. The murky political waffler is currently running as a registered Independent in his effort to unseat five-term CD-6 Republican U.S. Rep. David Schweikert, a respected finance and tax policy expert. Lewellen is nothing if not inventive, having started his own political party, ‘CIVIL Governance,’ titling himself, Executive Director. Ballotpedia has his error laden survey responses which reek of Elizabeth Warren’s and Bernie Sanders’ socialist redistribution of wealth. His campaign is based on distrust of our government.
Announced Democrats include: Anita Malik, who lost in 2018, unknowns Karl Gentles and Stephanie Rimmer and opportunistic carpet-bagger Hiral Tipirneni, who relinquished her medical license under pressure, yet continued to portray herself as a medical doctor — including wearing scrubs and a stethoscope in her last cycle ads. She failed in both of her challenges to U.S. Rep. Debbie Lesko in 2018, in the special election and the general, running at that time in CD 8, across the valley. Tipirneni does not reside in the district in which she is now running. Democrat Gentles has a novel way of introducing himself, self-describing on his website in these words:
“Karl a longtime supporter of Democrats and Democratic campaigns, from interning on former Arizona Governor Bruce Babbitt’s presidential campaign to running city council campaigns to supporting President Obama. He also served as a staff assistant for Senator John McCain in 1989. Karl credits the Senator for showing him that politics is less about ideology and party and more about building coalitions and doing what is right regardless of those factors.”
Seeing Red AZ has previously written about Daniel McCarthy, (here, here, and here,) a 34-year-old lacking any relevant experience, but carrying a super-charged ego, even naming his campaign “Demand Daniel.” His mission is to unseat Republican incumbent Sen. Martha McSally. McCarthy is his own major campaign contributor. President Trump has unequivocally endorsed McSally, a former combat pilot and the first woman to lead a fighter squadron into a war zone. She also served as a two-term member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Incumbent Sen. McSally is being challenged by heavily financed, Soros-supported Democrat Mark “Mr. Gabby Giffords” Kelly, who, based on fundraising alone, is considered formidable as he runs for a seat national Democrats are salivating over. Hypocrite Kelly, a close Obama associate, is a gun confiscator for the rest of us, though not himself.
Efforts to lure Arizona Republican voters who are currently being represented in Washington, D.C. by well qualified GOP incumbents will end in disaster, giving the edge to Democrats who will turn our state into a deep blue, Democrat bastion. Don’t be fooled by novice political slicksters. If we lose the Senate, President Trump will not get any of his judicial nominees confirmed. Another Supreme Court vacancy is expected soon.
A vote for an upstart candidate over a solid incumbent is guaranteeing a seat lost to the Democrats, something we will live to regret.
